Brandon et al are extending the transportation mask mandate again despite (or maybe because) of the effect it has on travel and over the objections of the heads of transportation industries and at least one flight attendants’ union.
They are blaming the latest non-issue covid variant (hint to them, there will always be another covid variant) for this latest stupidity.
But I still think it isn’t airlines and such that is their target. It’s school buses and public transportation in cities. They want kids masked and they want it bad. If all they can manage is to and from school (and for some rural kids that can be over an hour each way) then that’s what they’ll do.
Fulton County schools in Georgia have implemented a camera system whose software can detect if a child isn’t wearing a mask correctly. The units also collect biometric data and have facial recognition active. Oh, and no one was told about this surveillance.
It’s truly all about the kids, IMO.
