So, the march to get rid of the word ‘woman’ is going full speed ahead. The media (and I’m including new media in this) won’t use the word unless it has ‘trans’ in front of it. We’re referred to as ‘menstruators’, or ‘bodies with vaginas’.
But a small university in Missouri has taken the prize for stupid. Northwest Missouri State University is launching ‘Womynx History Month’ instead of Women’s History Month.
Now I think that this whole ‘history month’ thing is a bunch of hooey anyway.
But seriously, what the everloving fuck??
They responded to Fox News by saying they want to be more inclusive. Inclusive of what?? Men claiming to be women?
If that’s the case, then just make it ‘History Month’ (until they kill the word ‘history’ because it has ‘his’ in it).
I’m tired of this stuff. They’ve done studies to show that most Latinos, outside of John Leguizamo, hate and do not use the word Latinx.
I seriously doubt that womynx is going to catch on, but in today’s world, I’m not underestimating the stupid. It can’t be a real word without more vowels.
