Zen Buddhist monk and teacher of of Engaged Buddhism, Thich Nhat Hanh, has left this plane on January 22 and is ascending to the next at the age of 95.
I was able to sit in at a lecture he gave at Harvard several years ago (after almost getting elbowed in the face by a woman who obviously needed to listen to him more than I did) and found his presence to be quite tranquil.
Mindfulness is a lot harder to accomplish than one might think but I do try to use his methods.
I wish him well on his journey.
