Part of the piping hot, doomed to be craptastic, plan to send home covid tests to any American requesting them was that the insurance companies were actually going to foot the bill.
BUT…. this blindsided said insurance companies and they don’t have a way to handle this and no interconnectivity to the ordering system. So people are probably going to have to send in receipts and boxes to their insurance company in order to get reimbursed. Which will likely be at the far side of years.
As we’ve found out, much to our dismay, Brandon and Company have absolutely no idea about logistics and no concept about infrastructure.
Another thing that’s doomed to fail…..
ETA per a discussion on the subject: These tests were already paid for with taxpayer money. Why would they have to be paid for again via the insurance company?
