So climate activists and other activists now think it’s a piping hot idea to glue themselves onto pavement, thus making it more difficult for them to be removed to allow working folks to go about their business.
In Sweden, 15 people glued themselves to the runways of several airports. They were arrested–not like they could run or anything.
In Canada, one stupid bint glued her pants to the pavement. She was arrested, presumably after being removed from her pants.
In Britain, they are gluing themselves to the M25/A1. Not their clothes, their hands and faces. Again, arrested, once they were doused in solvent and removed from the right of way. While the roadway was blocked, one woman was unable to get to the hospital in the ambulance and now cannot talk or move half her body.
In Australia, folks glued themselves to block a bridge. But they maintained their 1.5 M social distancing and wore masks. (for fuck’s sake)
Authorities I think are being unnecessarily kind. If someone is going to be that dumb, I’m thinking they need to literally put some skin in the game and leave their mark on the pavement by just being yanked up.
Or just be left to act as speed bumps.
