Payment for collusion and lies

The National School Board President, who with the NSBA CEO, wrote the letter that gave AG Garland the impetus to direct the DOJ to treat parents as domestic terrorists is now serving on National Assessment Governing Board.  (Garlands’s daughter is married to the main purveyor of CRT materials in the US by the by.)  They collaborated with the White House on the letter itself.

The rest of the NSBA board has walked back the verbiage of the letter from their organization and apologized and internal memos indicate that there was no internal process before the letter was sent.

That said, they don’t seem to be doing jack over shit to fire these people.

But the father of the rape victim, whose reaction to lies by the superintendent of his school district was used in the letter as an example of violence, is demanding an apology and a retraction of the NSBA letter as well as are suing the Loudon School District (the rapist was found guilty yesterday).

Garland still hasn’t retracted his directive so the letter served its purpose.  Wondering what cushy add-on the NSBA CEO will get next?

ETA:  Some school boards are pulling their membership from the National School Board Association over this.  Ohio just announced their departure as have Pennsylvania and Missouri.  So if enough school boards do this, the National association will be defunct.  That would be a great thing.

A bunch of other states issued statements disagreeing with the letter, but haven’t hit the Association in its pocketbook by pulling their membership.
