Walgreens is in deep shit

 They gave a covid shot to a 4 year old instead of a flu shot in Maryland.  Now I don’t know why a four year old needs a flu shot, but the mom is rightfully freaking out.  

Not the first time such a ‘mistake’ has been made public…

A Walgreens in Fresno, California gave a woman a covid jab instead of a flu shot.

In both cases, Walgreens apologized.  They should be apologizing to the tune of seven figures or more for endangering the health of both people.

So if you are one of those who gets a flu shot every year, make sure you look at the vial before they plunge the needle into your arm.

    I am one that normally gets a flu shot every year working in EMS, but have been having second thoughts about it this year. This kind of fuckup is one more reason against it.

    I can't remember when I did NOT get a flu shot. Like seatbelts, when the military mandated it, the string began, and that was very long ago. However, both my civilian GP and the VA have offered the flu shot in recent weeks and I have turned them both down. I'm not so sure I want to get any shots these days. Now that the “liar” label has been justifiably applied to even the “scientific” community, who do I trust, after all?

    NFO–Those are just the ones that hit the news.Glypto and BobF–Just as an FYI, the package inserts for the Moderna vaccine are blank too. They are in there, but just read 'Intentionally Left Blank'. Does not lend itself to confidence if you don't know what's in it….

    Matthew–And remember, the two fuck ups are just the ones we know about. The package insert thing is completely mindblowing. And none of the pharmacists are really sweating it because they get a Q/A sheet that they are using. But nothing with the contents of the injection to even try to avoid allergic reactions.
