Initial sponsors and co-sponsors of a US House resolution supporting the Cuban people who are rebelling against the Communist regime were Republicans only.
Since the Dems are doing a real good job of implementing a brutal Communist regime here in the US and they idolize Socialism and Communism, they don’t want to see their ‘shining example’ fall since they’ve managed to keep Venezuela out of the news as much as possible.
It’s a lot harder to hide what’s going on with Cuba since there are a lot of folks here who escaped and are vocal about life under Communism.
Of course folks like Beyonce, Katy Perry, Sean Penn, Steven Spielberg, Oliver Stone, and Kevin Costner will lose their great vacation paradise if the people do manage to finally set things right after 62 years.
ETA: So if Cuban asylum seekers come to the US by boat, they will be turned away according to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas (as a side note, his parents brought him to the US when they fled from Cuba when he was a year old).
I guess what they have to do is head for Mexico and come through the border that way.
