 So, Lori Lightfoot, arguably the worst mayor in history, has stated that the reason people criticize her is because she’s black and a woman (I have to admit I am surprised she didn’t include lesbian in her litany).  

Considering the fact that it is very likely those qualities that got her elected in the first place,  all she had to do is keep crime down, the streets clear of snow, and make sure the garbage was picked up.  After almost a hundred years of grift, Chicagoans’ bar for government action is set pretty low.

Instead she allowed riots and destruction to flourish, ignored and excused rising crime, garbage trucks and snow plows were used for ineffective crowd control.  All while excoriating both the police and her own staff.  About a dozen staff have quit because she’s totally whack-a-doo.

The excuse is color, the reason is not being fit for the job.
