Sincerely yours, The Breakfast Club

The first person to receive a sentence and criminal record for walking into the People’s House, aka, the Capitol Building on January 6 is a 49 year old grandmother from Indiana.  She was handed down a $500 fine, three years of probation, and 120 hours of community service (as a note, the prosecutors asked for 40).  Of course one of the conditions of probation was that she is not able to own firearms.

But there was another requirement I found interesting was that she had to write a paper for the judge in order to receive a ‘lighter’ sentencing.  The full text of her paper is here.  She was given a list of books and movies and it seems, had to choose a couple to read or watch for her homework.

Odd.
