Well, there’s a treasure trove of data in the Fauci emails (archive is here). In a quick glance through on my own, I do find it interesting that Fauci said that masking was pretty much useless until the end of February, after Gao Fu, a Chinese Health Official (read: part of the Communist party), emphasized and then reiterated directly to Fauci that people should be masked.
I’m trying to find a second email, but it was worded such that if a person was beholden to someone else (like if you’d been funneling money illegally to fund a lab in Wuhan) then you’ve just been given your marching orders on how to proceed. So pretty much the policy in the US was driven directly by China.
Not surprising and still money’s gonna walk while bullshit talks (CDC, NIH, and Fauci himself are already doing to circuit for damage control).
ETA: Found the email I was thinking of. It was from a Michael Liu, pushing a Dr. Zhang Wenhong’s policies on March 16, 2020 (page 2062 in the email archive). Not sure who Michael Liu is, or why his push merited a response, but Zhang Wenhong is a member of the Chinese Communist Party.
The ‘Asian racism’ issue was brought up in February 2020 by a former NIAID employee (page 163).
