India began distributing ivermectin at the end of April and the number of cases are now plummeting. According to the data containing in this article, it happened in Mexico as well.
As an FYI, none of the vaccines the Biden Administration promised to India have gotten there yet. Other countries and the AstraZenica shots were made available at the end of April also, but due to timing, it seems to me, a non-medical person, that they wouldn’t have had an effect yet.

The political appointees are probably checking to see if India is sufficiently gender neutral and gia friendly. That shouldn't take more than six to nine months and several white papers.
