 Chicago is releasing 1000 feral cats into residential or commercial settings to combat their rat problem.  They are supposed to have a designated caregiver and the idea is that just having cats around helps keep rodents away (the bodies of the ones caught are to teach lessons to the other ones).  Their local animal shelter is helping with this.   In a house with more than one cat, I’ve still gotten mice, so don’t know how effective this will be.

Besides, the real rats are in City Hall…..  I’m not sure they can be rooted out without an exorcism.
