The very sick young man in Indianapolis who gunned down eight people was a My Little Pony fan.  What I didn’t know, but there’s a whole bunch of adult men who have an entire fandom and fantasy about My Little Pony. 

From what I’m reading, several publications really, really tried/are trying to link MLP to white supremacy because the ‘Bronies’ (bro ponies) are mainly adult white men.

Now, I’m not a pundit, but my guess, from meeting at least one Brony in person, is that adult male My Little Pony enthusiasts are most likely gay.  That’s not to say that white supremacists can’t be gay, but I’m betting that My Little Pony forums are not a gathering place for them.  And many gay men are liberal (again it’s not universal, but a large majority are).  The Venn diagram does have quite a bit of overlap though.

It’s amazing how many publications tried to link two disparate ideologies together though.  Insightful publishing, not.
