Tit for tat–environmentalism works both ways

The environmentalists want the border wall construction stopped (and ultimately the wall torn down) to provide pathways for wildlife migration.  Now, while I’m sure that politics and leftover ‘Orange Man Bad’ and illegal immigration had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with this, I might be willing to trade.

What?  You might be thinking.  MC, that’s nuts!

I would be willing to trade the border wall for all windmills and solar panels.  They would have to come down immediately.  The havoc they wreak on wildlife–bird kills, bat kills, insects getting fried on solar panels, butterfly migration, etc. is too much and is destroying entire species.

The swallows cannot go back to Capistrano because of the windmills.  Monarch butterflies are getting fewer and fewer as they are running the gauntlet through the Midwest’s newest crop.  Bees, wasps, and all kinds of pollinating insects are frying and dying.

So environmentalists, let’s have a frank discussion about what’s best for the ecosystem as a whole and walls versus these monstrosities you’ve insisted were better for the planet.

  1. They don't have 'frank discussions”, they issue edicts. Same as it ever was. But I like the way you think
