This whole covid thing has now jumped the shark further than Fonzie ever could.
China now says that anal swabs are more accurate than throat swabs in testing for Covid. Of course not all Chinese experts agree that putting a swab up one’s rectum works better than sticking a swab up someone’s nose so far that it could be used to chunk out part of a person’s brain, but I’m guessing that some influencer will think it’s a piping hot idea.
And on the heels of this rapidly developing joke, the New York Times and Fascist Fauci think that where one mask is good, then two would be better. Ludicrous in light of studies that say that they don’t do anything at all. He says it’s just common sense (on what planet??). All the cool kids are already doing it (Buttigieg, Amanda Gorman). It’ll be all the rage.
