Grey and dreary. My high school teacher said that I reminded her of Dorothy Parker’s writings when she was choosing poets for my very first ten page research paper. Ironically for all of her musings about joining the afterlife prematurely, she lived to age 67 (or 73 depending on the biography) and died of natural causes.
