Soldier of Fortune by Blackmore’s Night. Actually written when Ritchie Blackmore was a Rock god instead of a Mandolin god.
And the Deep Purple version…
I’ve tended towards being a nomad during my adult years (a nice mirror for my first seven as well, moving with my dad). So this song always touches a chord in me.
I'll have to admit I like the new version better, but I do remember the Deep Purple version from back in the day!

I got to see Blackmore's Night in a very small venue in North Carolina. Great show and Ritchie Blackmore is still a rock god in my book, even if he's in tights.
