Had a chance to meet up with Old NFO a few weeks ago–a short train ride and a few phone calls to connect (you mean there’s a bank on that corner–go figure?) was all it took. A true Southern gentleman who can speak with knowledge on pretty much anything. It would have been a bit much to go to his favorite sushi bar (in Okinawa) for dinner, but the food was excellent and made so much better by the conversation and company.
I’m really glad we were able to connect but wish my comic timing had been just a smidge better–I think getting a spit shot out of the Most Intriguing Man in the world would have been a badge of honor, even if my sweater would have born the brunt of the coffee.
Hoping to do the museum tour next time…… 🙂
