Himself and I ventured out Friday night in the budding snowstorm for BACON since we had a visiting dignitary this weekend. While at the butcher’s shop, all of a sudden the lights went out. Immediately two people behind the counter and three in front of it (Himself, myself, and one other) brought out our flashlights or cell phones with lights. The lady behind the counter who had just started to cut our lunch meat laughed and said–“I can still give it to you if you want a big chunk!” The manager brought out the hand calculator and they prepared to go credit card free. No worries, some laughter.
The power came back quickly, but was really only necessary for the folks who didn’t have enough backup cash for their purchases and I’d bet two out of three will not be caught cash-free again.
