Seriously, what is the point of this??

The Early Show just had a segment about White House chefs doing micro-brew beers at the behest of the Obamas.  It was carefully pointed out that micro-brewing is legal in DC and that the Obamas bought the equipment with their own money.  Howevah……  I believe the White House chefs are paid for with taxpayer funds?  And they’re doing micro-brew beer for parties at the White House?  It’s a small thing I know, but just one of the other myriad small things that add up to the present residents of the White House thinking that they are royalty and not temporary residents (the more temporary, the better).

Someone should report the idea that the Obamas are using taxpayer funds for promoting alcohol consumption to Atttaaaack Waaaaatch.

    Hell that just shows what renter-trash they really are! I bet they make the “micro brew” out of garden leftovers in a Home Depot garbage can stuffed in the “Lewinsky Closet.” 🙂 No need to bottle it, just scoop up a foamy bunch in that A&P Mini-Mart jug!

    DC–I think it's more a sign that they are trying to look like 'ordinary' folks having brewskis with the masses but again, they miss the mark. When you have someone else doing up your 'private stock', it kind of loses the plot. Regardless of who bought the equipment, I can't see MEchelle down in the basement of the White House checking the barley content and yeast in the beer.

    I see your point and note that they can't help ity or even get it – building a private label microbrew in the WH is hardly like having a tailgate Coors with cousin Calvin at a football game…But the other image was a reminder of a college housemate and the stanky odor of raisin beer!

    Nah, this is one I can't have heartache over.The position – regardless of the holder of same – is a difficult one and if doing a little micro-brewing is in the cards, so be it.But ease up on nailing others enjoying other forms of “enhancement”.We got other more serious things to worry aboutQ

    Q–I just thought it odd that the press was making a big deal out of it. Also, I don't give a darn about others enjoying 'enhancement', I do care that we're paying for his hobby. It's just part and parcel of the same idiocy that MEchelle used when she closed down half of DC to go the farmer's market. It's more of another indictment on their personalities.
