I swear that I was nowhere near Poland when this crime occurred

Although had I known such a product existed, I would have made the trip.

Apparently a truckload of the new Formula 1 KitKat bars was stolen en route from Italy to Poland.

“We’ve always encouraged people to have a break with KITKAT — but it seems thieves have taken the message too literally and made a break with more than 12 tonnes of our chocolate,” a KitKat spokesperson said in a statement. “Whilst we appreciate the criminals’ exceptional taste, the fact remains that cargo theft is an escalating issue for businesses of all sizes. With more sophisticated schemes being deployed on a regular basis, we have chosen to go public with our own experience in the hope that it raises awareness of an increasingly common criminal trend.”

I have to admit that KitKats are a guilty pleasure of mine. At an Asian food store we visit periodically, I can get a plethora of flavors not sold in regular stores like strawberry, green tea (surprisingly good) and others.

I’m also a Formula 1 fan so the amalgam of the two would be bliss.

  1. Yeah, that’s what all the criminal master minds say. “I wasn’t there, it couldn’t have been me, I was at my sister’s all weekend.” “Don’t gimme that Louie, you don’t have a sister and even if you did you wouldn’t go visit her, would ya’, ya bum?”

  2. I can vouch for her whereabouts on Saturday.

    Mostly.

Pretty sure she could not have gotten to Poland )or Italy) and back in the times that I did nor have her under surveillance.

Now, she might have been the mastermind behind the theft, but I dunno for sure….
