UN Climate Change gathering up in smoke

100,000 trees were cut down for a road to the Belem which is in the middle of the Amazonian rain forest. According to reports, Belem, being in outer BFE has no infrastructure (and open air sewers). But the head of the leader of Brazil thought it would be a piping hot idea (and so it was once the East African pavilion caught on fire).

There was no water and no food (poor babies). And the indigenous peoples were restless and joined the party.

IMO the only thing it accomplished will be to harden the resolve of the UN to never move out of NYC unless they are forced now that they’ve had to deal with the Third World close up and personal.

  1. It goes without saying, but these are not serious or competent people. They are so high on their own supply that they’ve taken to believing their own delusions, and now we are getting full frontal displays of stupidity like this, because of it. Which can only be a good thing, because it further discredits these asshole wankers. Enough mis-steps like this, and maybe they can finally he laughed out of the room and excluded fro further discourse. Yeah, it’s a big ask, but maybe we get lucky.

    1. BRD–Definitely a big ask, but maybe… I just liked the idea of all of them seeing the Third World up close and personal.

  2. I wouldn’t worry about the road. The jungle will reclaim it in 10 years.

I’ll share this post with my two friends formerly from Brazil, now US citizens. They can’t stand Luna.

  3. What really galls me is that these “wankers” (stealing that BRD) theories and actions have been thoroughly discredited in the last several years when they got caught red handed manipulating temperature data to make it seem that their inane theories were proven. Yet they persist in their world domination through climate accords actions while eating lobster, prime steak and caviar in the jungle.

Then there’s the other untold $BILLIONS they’ve wasted(probably laundered back to Demonrats and other left wing loons in governments world wide) which could have been better spent making third world countries ascendant with improved infrastructure and electricity, easing the lives of those citizens that we’ve been told are so oppressed because of their poverty.

    1. It is endlessly frustrating that even after their predictions have been thoroughly and repeatedly busted, they are still granted legitimacy in the sense that their sinecures are not revoked, and that they are still given power to influence policies that ultimately fix nothing, but cost the average person a massive amount of additional money over time. What ever happened to being wrong in the professional sphere getting one thrown out on their ass? Yes, it’s a rhetorical question, as I know the answer.

  4. I wonder if they destroyed the opera house (I think it was in Belem) for being insufficiently ‘green’.

  5. Gerry–It’s just the absolute irony of cutting down all of those trees for a conference on climate.

Nemo–Yep. The money never goes where it would actually do any lasting good.

    BRD–Indeed.
