Useless Idiots

I forgot about the ‘No Kings’ stupidity on Saturday and made the mistake of driving through downtown and saw a bunch of gullible folks who were apparently feeling very proud with themselves. The news said 1000 of them, I’m thinking 100-200 due to the sidewalk capacity and length of the blocks.

Of course they didn’t have to think about what they were doing because their chants (complete with improper grammar) were also given to them. As were their signs.

Many people carried No Kings signs provided by organizers.

Due to their location, I also saw a bunch of restaurants and shops, usually full with diners and shoppers on a nice Saturday afternoon that had no commerce from the Soros-funded morons who took all of the parking so no one else could get in either. Although there is a small liberal arts college close by, I didn’t see many younger folks–most were 50 and up.

These are the people who grew up just having missed the protests of the 1960’s and who are seeking relevance.

  1. These neo-Marxists see awful happy to follow political leaders that tell them what to do, say, think and act as long as it’s not Trump.

Seems like only yesterday when they were calling for citizens to be put in reeducation camps for not taking the Covid vaccine are stating that the unvaccinated should not have access to hospital care. Who are the real Nazis?

  3. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. By all means, these folks have the right to “Peacefully Assemble”. But do take note, the TRUE protest… the one that COUNTED, MATTERED and actually precipitated CHANGE (in a BIG way, I might add) occurred in November of 2024.

Anything else? Just a bunch of attention whoring blather.

  4. Here in the armpit of the internet, I looked up the protestors at the capitol building, chanting, and regurgitating sound bites when interviewed; IQ slowly leaking out my ears.

It’s been noted how many disbursed and left at an exact time from these protests, almost as if they were paid protestors.

    1. Literal whores, selling their bodies and big mouths by the hour, figuratively fellating whatever pimp told them which street corner to stand on. It’d be amusing if it weren’t so damn irritating.

  5. I find it ironic that a real king would not allow a protest that tried to eliminate him. A REAL king would unlimber the troops and sufficient artillery to put a permanent end to the problem or dish out hemp neckties until the protesters stopped their antics.

But that’s just me, I suppose.

  6. If only these people would put the time, energy, and money they spent on their little childish protest (I am talking about the volunteer useful idiots, not the paid protestors) and instead used those hours, effort, and cash to improve their community…clean up a park, help someone’s life or build something in their community….

But no, they seldom actually improve things, just protest.

  8. bkhuna–It is ironic. They call themselves anti-fascists, but that’s not in line with how they act.

MrHappy–It seems they are feeling left out.

boneman–Yep, it’s their right, but they still look dumb.

    wv–Odd that…

Phil B–They really haven’t thought things through.

B–Yes. They seldom add anything to their communities. I didn’t drive through later to check out the detritus likely left behind.

TRoy–I’m sure they’ve dislocated their own shoulders trying to pat themselves on the back.

  9. I’ve felt that way about a lot of liberals – they missed out on the 60’s and want to find some relevance in their lives by trying to re-enact similar protests. The way they claim that the fight for gay civil rights is just like the fight for black civil rights. Or the fight for tranny civil rights is the same as the fight for black civil rights. It’s been years, but I remember some blacks saying to the liberals that NO, it’s not the same, and shut up about that.

To add to that thought, what they think they did in the 60’s and what really happened are two completely separate things. And the fact that they mythologized the 60’s to an incredible extent drives that even further into their miserable lives. The reality is that a lot of the anti-war protests were organized not as grass-roots, but by the commies who had infiltrated our campuses. The black civil rights was supported by Republicans but cynically manipulated by Johnson (D) who famously said he’d have those n@gg@@s voting democrat for the next 100 years. A lot of what they believe is just wrong.

    1. Don–That’s the problem. They have mythologized the 60s into something they weren’t. The only thing they are emulating is the hate–hate for military, hate for police, hate for government. And they are still followers, sheep being led. And yes, it was the Dems who used the civil rights movement for their own purposes. That quote from LBJ has turned out to be oddly prescient.

  10. I saw an excellent video recently where someone said, if you feel like protesting “No Kings,” perhaps you should protest No Kings the next time:

    — your party decides to cancel the results of a presidential primary and picks the candidate from behind closed doors

    — the government arm-twists employers into firing you unless you “voluntarily” take an experimental drug

    — when the government overrides common sense and allows peeping Toms into the women’s locker room

    — when tens-of-millions of dollars earmarked for Americans for hurricane relief are diverted to illegal aliens at the border

    — when the government calls up social media platforms and censors the opposition

    — when the government has the IRS target political opponents

We do have an authoritarian problem in the United States — and it’s coming from the Democratic (sic) Party.

lnac–Yeah, they did a lot of that this weekend to try to make it seem like more than it actually was. I was personally surprised at the turnout here, but they’ve been building for it for months.

I think he missed a bet by not doing one with the song God Bless America morphing into God Save The King.
