This seems to be getting some traction. Taking a page from the lady in California who stripped to her bikini at a school board meeting to demonstrate how children feel when forced to remove their clothing in front of children of the opposite sex, a bunch of folks did the same in Maine.
‘You guys had the opportunity tonight to be heroes and you guys became zeroes,’ Blanchard said as he slammed the board’s decision to follow the Maine Human Rights Act, which prohibits discrimination based on gender identity.
As he spoke, two women and a man stood up and took off their clothes while others looked on in shock.
A board member attempted to quell the chaos, but Blanchard interrupted, stating that the demonstrators were ‘covered,’ and questioned the board: ‘You feel uncomfortable?!’
‘Yeah, you feel uncomfortable right? That’s what these young girls feel like every time a young boy changes in front of them.’
Apparently school districts in Maine are now voting on whether to follow Trump policies regarding Title IX and locker rooms/bathrooms, or staying with Maine law which requires schools to allow boys who say they are girls into girls’ locker rooms.
Board member James Orr brought the amendment forward, which sought to align district policies with Trump’s executive order recognizing only two sexes as male and female.
The amendment also stated that all private spaces and applicable extracurricular activities should be assigned by sex.
The board was tied 4-4 on the resolution, with the chair casting the tie-breaking vote in favor of keeping the district’s policy in line with Maine’s state law.
It’s a similar tactic to reading the pornography that is allowed in some school libraries to school boards.
I heartily approve and it should be followed up with voting out any school board member who believes that boys should be in girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms.
