I have known women and that is how they cook. I wouldn’t eat it, my ex-wife was one. I did the cooking and properly cooked meat and vegetables and made appealing and nutritious meals.

What a great way to lose weight!
Watch that before eating and you won’t be hungry anymore.

As a long-term, utterly non-militant vegetarian, even I know better. I still cook carcass for Herself and others and if I ever did anything like that, I would be the next one in the stew pot for sure.
I did enjoy the “Pythonesque” trio of commentators for sure though!

“Is all British food visually unappealing and unappetizing and nearly inedible?” He asked
“If cooked properly, yes” She replied.

It’s a good thing she documented this great recipe. I’m sure that a lot of folks will want to write it down to pass on. How tragic it would be for it to be lost.

thatmrgguy–Agreed.
MrLiberty–It always comes down to the salmon mousse.
CederQ–I’m an adequate cook, but I know someone who is a lot better.
pj–Absolutely!
boneman–It was the boiled meat–but yes, those guys have a very Pythonesque schtick.
B–LOL! Glad I wasn’t taking a drink when I saw that comment.
TRoy–I think it should disappear, but unfortunately the internet is forever.

The wife used to watch a pastry cooking competition from the U.K. I asked one day if they were going to boil cake?

Karl–Yeah, and not in a good way.
WDS–Thanks!
MrHappy–Not an unreasonable question considering the fact that they boil everything else.

Went to England and lived “on the economy” for 3 months. Went to a chinese take-out; we ordered lemon pepper chicken and sweet and sour pork. The only difference between the dishes was that the cook had squirted a liberal dose of ketchup into one of the dishes. Otherwise, same texture and basic taste.

waiting–So even ethnic foods get corrupted by the British way of cooking. Blech.
