Unions and the DNC connection

I was quite surprised to find out that Randi Weingarten, the head of the American Federation of Teachers, has also had a ‘powerhouse’ role in the DNC for the past couple of decades.

Somehow this flew under my radar (and other folks’ as well).

She had been on their Rules and Bylaws Committee since 2009 and just got kicked off this year.

As Nolte notes (the second link above):

Why would the media cover this up?

Well, we all know why. As Weingarten funded Democrats through her union and abused her role as a union leader to further leftist causes, it allowed the media to shield her behind the same phony shield the media hide behind: the one labeled “objective, non-partisan, and unbiased.”

I guess the head of AFSCME was also part of the DNC too. And anyone that says that either were ‘unbiased’ is fooling themselves. Money and labor from both unions have always skewed to the DNC regardless of the makeup of their members. And since union dues are mandatory in a lot of places (directly taken out of paychecks) there has been no check on this.

And if those who are trying to claim there was no ‘cross-pollination’ between the AFT and the DNC are either delusional or are lying out their asses.

  1. Unions are what turned out from a quasi noble idea into one the greatest scams in the history of man and it’s monsters like Weingarten who did the turning, especially in the public sector unions.

Here’s another example of outright union/fed.gov corruption. WTH does the AFL-CIO rate a $72M donation of our borrowed federal funds?

Gleefully stolen from 90 Miles From Tyranny

Then there’s the idea that public employees can unionize. One of the least citizen friendly rulings ever from our corrupt court system.

    1. Nemo–Indeed. And why does this union (and likely all the others) receive taxpayer funds? I’m not in their union. Even FDR knew that public employee unions were bad.
