Rejoice Gentlemen!

For Playboy has shaken off ‘teh gay’ and has gone back to their old school ways.

After a five-year hiatus, the magazine was relaunched this month with a new issue including a fully nude centerfold featuring Guess model Gillian Nation — a fit, biological female — who has been crowned Playboy‘s 2025 Playmate of the Year, according to a report by Daily Mail.

Hefner’s son, who surely had his father spinning in his grave, started the downfall and after two years turned the reins over to two women and a gay guy who decided that no nudity, gay men, and Lizzo would be draws to their readership. Hint–not-so-much.

Interestingly, the new Playboy issue also features a repurposed 1990 interview with Trump, Daily Mail noted.

“This edition brings back everything that made Playboy a cultural icon while introducing a fresh perspective that resonates with today’s world,” the company said in a statement.

The magazine’s editor-in-chief, Mike Guy, meanwhile, added that “This issue celebrates our rich history while embracing a bold new vision for the future, blending nostalgia with innovation to inspire a new generation of readers.”

I think woke is now officially dead.

  1. Huh, wo woulda thought that men would like trim, beautiful women posing for them, alongside articles that interest straight men…
And that they would reject the other crap that Playboy tried to foist off onto their audience?

“Hef” had a tried and true formula, and they tried to “Woke” it…and failed.

    I think you are right…Woke is dead…

I never understood how such a small proportion of the population was able to have so much influence….

Because a different small portion used our tax dollars to control the media.

They were able to get nudity and perversion on display by using the courts They control, buying up or pushing out all types of media They don’t control until They owned over 85% of written and visual media companies, and bombarding the population with Their agenda.

Yay, you get to see “normal” porn again, congratulations. Flip the switch, everything is back to normal barnyard behavior, except for the Zizians.

Wonder how Comrade Misfit views this, eh? That loon is like the rest, melting down and ready to strike out…

  4. B, The squeaky wheel gets the grease. While normal people kept their heads down trying to make a living, these freaks were shrieking loud and proud about how they were more oppressed than the black and hispanic folks and they needed special dispensation.

  6. B-Yep, woke is dead and Steve6 and thatmrgguy answered your question.

steve6-That’s definitely a part of it!

MN Steel–I see Playboy, in a large part, as art rather than porn. That’s what used to differentiate it from Penthouse. CMF and I are definitely on opposite ends of a spectrum on many issues.

    thatmrgguy–Well said.

WDS–Nope, no sarcasm on this one. I take it as a sign of a return to normalcy and art and away from ugly.

    Matthew–That’s awesome!

  7. I guess it’s to be celebrated that Playboy decided to return to it’s roots, if only to have a degree less degeneracy being pushed. But it sort of strikes me as a hollow victory. I was never a consumer of Hef’s product (outside of sneaking a few peeks at issues found lying about back in the late 80’s-early 90’s, mostly due to school or work buddies of mine having periodic access to them). However, much like bud light and it’s ill advised foray into brewing tranny fluid (and which I never drank prior to said supreme marketing fuckup) I’m disinclined to forgive the attempt to faggotize the product. In point of fact, in this post COVID era, there isn’t much I will forgive anymore, given how events – and the attitudes of those opposed to me – have played out the last several years.

It makes no real difference anyway on my account, as I wouldn’t be buying either brand irrespective of whether they had foregone their attempts at suicidal self-sabotage, or not. I guess my point is that I can’t really boycott something I was already not buying, and had no plans to in the first place. I do wonder though about the actual relevance of Playboy in 2025. Hef (and the lifestyle he once represented) is long dead, free porn (and yes, even artistic nudes if that’s your thing) are available online in limitless quantities, and I don’t know that there exist sufficient attention spans in most of the population younger than 40 to make a publication with long form interviews and static pictures (financially) successful.

Yes, there is the digital edition, but who’s going to plunk down money on a magazine these days? I guess they could still sell a few ads to Bang & Olufsen for swanky HiFi systems, but since everyone uses their smartphone for music now, that might not get them very far, either.

I suppose the one positive take away is that this serves as an indication of a larger shift in the prevailing cultural zeitgeist, so I’ll celebrate it for that much. If it can be a part of inculcating a transition towards young men becoming more masculine, and young women becoming fit and feminine again, foregoing tatts all over their bodies and bull rings in their noses (i.e., actually trying to be attractive) then it’s a good thing overall. The hangover from all the cultural damage we sustained, however, will linger for a long time to come yet.

Like the proverbial mouse through the snake, we have decades before all those steeped in the filth and stupidity of the last ~25 years are out of the picture, and with them all of the bad ideas that were woven into society over that time. As usual, I get hung up on the bigger picture issues at hand.

  11. In this case… The squeaky wheels… got GREASED.

TBH, the last issue I procured was the last stapled issue… the one with “Madonna” in full fuzzy regalia.

And yes Gang, I only bought it for the STAPLES. 😉

    That pretty much ended it.

  12. BRD–I am taking this primarily as a change in culture with healthy beautiful women.

Bob–Wow! If you still have it, it’s probably a collector’s item.

MrLiberty–I just hope that they can recover from their hiatus into stupid.

    Nemo–I do try to be astute… 😉

boneman–Sounds like the staples were worth it….
