I've got nothing, so you get gnomes

With so much going on from the weekend– the attempted assassination of Donald Trump as well as the deaths of Dr Ruth Westheimer, Richard Simmons, and Shannon Daugherty, I’m in overload.

So you get a feel good story about a group called the Gnome Restoration Society in Canada who took all of a man’s garden gnomes, repainted and rehabbed them, and returned them (plus two that apparently needed a good home.

Since blogger is now wanting special cookies in order to upload pictures, which is going to suck for me trying to do meme days, you’ll have to go to the link above to see the restored pictures.

These folks are a lot nicer than the Garden Gnome Liberation Front, which back in the day used to steal gnomes and ‘set them free in the forest’.

  1. As far restorations go, did you know that a group in Italy totally refurbished the “Sad HIll” cemetary that Sergio Leone used in the Good, the Bad & the Ugly years ago? I had heard about Dr. Ruth and Shannon Daugherty but not about Richard Simmons.

  3. A while ago, someone “borrowed” a garden gnome and took him around the world, photographing him in various exotic locations before returning him:https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1043552/Gnome-Stolen-garden-elf-returned-7-month-adventure-world.htmlIt must have been an airline pilot or similar, though you'd think that with their salary, he could afford a more interesting hobby, eh?Phil B

  4. Sounds like the quilting circle gals decided to get into crafts. Probably rolling around in a 64 chevy, scouting out gneglected gnomes, dispatching a few fleet of foot grandsons to collect them. I'm sure it's A raucus celebration of rubbing, scrubbing, and picking each color by committee.
