And the tap dancing begins

With more and more solid information coming out about the permanent harm that ‘gender affirming care’ child mutilation and sterilization causes combined with other studies showing that children grow out of their ‘trans’ phase (much like growing out of a phase of wanting to be a pirate), then the backtracking and ‘we never said..’ is beginning.

JK Rowling, who has been on the razor’s edge of this issue for years is bringing the receipts to those people.

The conversation began with a comment from Kirstie Allsop, who said in an X post that no one was blocking debate around those issues: “There [are] very real issues around the impact of puberty blockers on long term health. But the point I was making is that it is, and always has been possible to debate these things and those saying there was no debate are wrong.”

“I’m astounded by this comment,” Rowling replied. “One of the gender ideologues’ favourite slogans is ‘no debate.’ Opponents have been attacked, vilified, subject to discipline at work, had their lives overturned and lost their careers, all for the crime of wanting a debate.”

She then started listing out a laundry list of those people who were attacked or lost their careers.  And then she put the next nail in:

Turning back to Allsop’s comment, Rowling concluded: “People like you who now claim there’s never been any attempt to stifle debate are part of the reason this mess happened in the first place. If you want to remain in a state of blithe unconcern, fine, but don’t tell those in the trenches they’re making a fuss about nothing.”

Liberals can’t admit that they’ve been on the wrong side of history.  With the internet though, it’s a lot more difficult to memory hole their crap.
