The Dems had an ultimate test on Saturday when it came down to the continuing resolution in the House of Representatives yesterday. They didn’t want to have to step up for the good of the country–they wanted their toys and their money-laundering via the Ukraine pipeline.
So they went to the fallback of any child who doesn’t want to take a test–they pulled the fire alarm.
And because the Dems act like children, we get this excuse:
Today, as I was rushing to make a vote, I came to a door that is usually open for votes but today would not open. I am embarrassed to admit that I activated the fire alarm, mistakenly thinking it would open the door. I regret this and sincerely apologize for any confusion this caused.
But wait, there’s more–because there’s nothing like doubling down on dumb.
Rep. Jamaal Bowman’s spokeswoman claimed he “did not realize he would trigger a building alarm” when he pulled fire alarm. “The Congressman regrets any confusion,” she says.
And here’s more from Breitbart–he pulled down two signs indicating that the door he was at was for emergency use only before pulling the alarm and then he actually lit out for a different door on a different floor to reach his destination.
Please bear in mind that this man was a school principal. I’m pretty sure he would be familiar with how fire alarms work and the fact that building evacuation generally follows.
Apparently the impetus for this maneuver was to gain more time to read the Continuing Resolution, which is laughable because the Dems are the party of ‘we have to pass the bill so you can find out what’s in it’.
But this action could either reach felony level status or it will be the example that Republicans can use to illustrate without a doubt that there is a double standard in DC (as if anyone with half a brain does not already recognize it).
