Kappa Kappa Gamma ‘won’ the lawsuit brought against them by some of their members who were upset when a 6′ 2″ fully intact biological male was allowed to join the sorority and live in their sorority house in Wyoming. Indeed, the sorority pushed for it and bullied members into capitulating.
Not surprisingly, a federal court (which did not allow the girls bringing the lawsuit to remain anonymous–the better to cancel them later), said that KKG’s definition was their own and since it is a private organization, they can do what they please. Which I get. The revised definition has been in place since 2015.
As a reminder, this guy was seen getting erections while watching the women of the house, was taking pictures without permission, and except for wearing makeup for photo ops, dresses and acts like a man. IMO, a predator who is going to extreme lengths to access his prey.
The Wyoming chapter basically told the females in the house that objected to his presence to pound sand and I think most of them have probably found alternate housing for the fall (this started in the spring when transferring into university housing would have been problematic).
Here’s the part that I don’t think anyone is saying. What happens when this guy physically assaults one or more of the women remaining in the house? Or rapes them?
I’m not saying for sure it will happen, but the stage has been set for it, especially by giving this mentally ill person legitimacy in the courts and the associated elevated sense of entitlement.
Hopefully the chapter will have to close due to lack of funding if no one comes back.
Kind of like women’s and girls’ sports–if the people in charge won’t see sense, don’t compete. Make them put the ‘I’ in team and go form private leagues with your own rules.
“A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.”
